Droits d'accès, équipement, essence et restauration sans compter l'entretien de la motoneige. Sur l'entretien toutefois, vous pouvez avoir une influence qui saura vous faire économiser temps et argent. Les hivers étant tous différents, la neige peut se faire rare par endroits et occasionner une usure prématurée des glissières, ce qui exige un remplacement de celles-ci, qui vous coûte donc temps et argent. Voici quelques trucs qui vous permettront de prolonger la vie de vos glissières de motoneige. Une chenille mal alignée influencera la conduite de la motoneige en plus d'user les glissières prématurément. La tension de la chenille doit aussi être vérifiée périodiquement. Référez-vous au manuel du propriétaire pour connaître la tension idéal conseillé par le manufacturier. Une tension excessive fera chauffer les glissières causant encore une fois une usure prématurée de celles-ci. Cependant, et ce malgré un entretien minutieux, certains modèles ont tendance à mener la vie dure aux glissières. Il existe une solution rapide et peu coûteuse pour remédier à ce problème. Le remplacement d'une roue de support d'origine par une de plus grand diamètre. Par exemple, Kimpex a conçu une roue de 135 mm pour remplacer la roue de support de 130 mm de certaines  motoneiges Yamaha.
