Une consolidation qui survient au moment où les ventes de véhicules tout-terrain et de motoneiges sont sous pression. [Textron](http://www.textron.com), connue entre autre pour fabriquer des chariots de golfs et des véhicules utilitaires, vient ainsi d'élargir, avec l'acquisition d'Arctic Cat, sa gamme de produits de véhicules récréatifs, utilitaires et spécialisés. La société multi-industrielle prévoit s'appuyer sur la marque forte et l'histoire d'innovation d'Arctic Cat. Elle déclare également qu'avec cet ajout, elle entend investir plus agressivement dans le développement de produits, les réseaux de concessionnaires, le marketing et le service à la clientèle. « Le conseil d'Arctic Cat croit que l'offre de Textron offre une valeur irréprochable et immédiate à ses actionnaires » a déclaré pour sa part Christopher Metz, PDG d'Arctic Cat et directeur général dans un communiqué. « Cette transaction présente des occasions accrues pour l'entreprise de tirer parti de notre échelle combinée, d'accélérer la croissance et d'améliorer l'innovation de produits de façon à profiter à nos clients, revendeurs et employés.» ajoute-t-il.
