During their conference, at the 2017 CES in Las Vegas, Honda presented a prototype (a NC 750 roadster) capable of balancing itself at a standstill and at low speeds.
The technology, called "Riding Assist" by the Japanese manufacturer, is derived from ASIMO, its humanoid robot. When the motorcycle is stopped or at low speeds, motors act on the fork and wheels to increase leverage and keep the bike balanced.
The prototype is also capable of "following" its owner. A system allows you to remotely control the motorcycle enabling it to leave its parking without having to push it.
