This article is a presentation of the CKX Tranz 1.5.  It is the modular helmet that has it all to be a major asset in you equipment during the coming winter season.

Presentation of the CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV

In the family of CKX helmets, the Tranz 1.5 is the top of the line CKX modular helmet. Very well liked by snowmobile, ATV and UTV enthusiasts, this helmet is a charmer with its modular helmet features but with all the advantages of a full-face helmet, such as the retractable visor and its rubber breath deflector. It is available in over eight graphic designs in a wide variety of colours from the exuberant fluorescent yellow to the plain matt black.

CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV – Visors

The CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV is available with the double visor or double electric visor for those who have a recurring problem with fogging up on their trail outings. The plastic visor has anti-fog and anti-scratch treatment allowing you to fully enjoy your experience.  As for the retractable amber visor, the open and close mechanism is on the left side of the helmet and easy to use, even with a pair of frozen gloves. It is easily interchangeable if you prefer the dark smoked visor.

CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV – Modular helmet and mechanism

The CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV mechanism to open is on the inside of the chin strap near your chin.  The reason for this is to allow you to press the release button and open the helmet in a simple fluid motion.

CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV - Comfort, size and weight

I found the CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV very comfortable compared with other modular helmets available on the market. The inner linings keep your head warm during the cold and beautiful winter days. In addition, the breath deflector and the rubber chin guard are patent pending, and they hug the facial curves better than other conventional neoprene deflectors. This helps keep the water vapour far from your face at all times. And, the retractable visor interacts perfectly with the deflector to allow you to ride with an open visor!

For the fit of the CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV, I chose the size that seemed to conform to industry standards. I wear a Large and it is the size that gave me the most comfort and safety. But I recommend that you try it on before buying it as each head has its own shape!

The Tranz 1.5 weighs close to 1850 grams. This may seem high for a helmet, but those who love long outings are ready to choose a slightly heavier helmet which gives them endless comfort, and features that you can’t live without once you have had them.

CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV - Colours, graphics and  certification

As mentioned above, the CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV is available in eight different graphic designs. In total, that represents 34 colour choices available to you when you are choosing this helmet. For safety certifications, it complies with or is superior to DOT Standard FMVSS218.

Target group for the CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV?

This helmet is a must for passionate trail drivers who want a quality product to face the rigours of winter during long periods. Usually, for this type of experienced and passionate riders, whether on snowmobiles, ATVs or UTVs, the days are long and exhausting and log many kilometres on machines in areas very often far from rest areas to warm up. This is why you must be confident with your equipment at all times to be able to concentrate on the road. If you see yourself as this type of passionate rider, the CKX Tranz 1.5 RSV is definitely a helmet to consider for the coming winter season!
